I was in kenya for three weeks doing mission work. It was far from what we have over here in the USA. I WAS NOT SHOCK. I know it was only God that brought me there. Life in the USA is luxury compare to kenya.
I learn so many things doing my stay. I ate the the best of african dishes. I even ate with my hands, you see this is the African way. We put on our african outfits doing the month of Febuary, but we really don’t know the true meaning, to live in africa.
All I’m trying to say, is that I was so happy those three weeks, not worry about what I will wear, or eat. I ate once a day in kenya for three wks. I saw me as being FREE from the everyday dull life…. Why do we have to love things so much. Life is not about nice cars, clothes, and money. I had nothing, but I was still happy. Happy to be FREE, from people complaining about stuff. Life is beautiful if you fine yourself and love yourself. I love Kenya, I didn’t have to have stuff to keep me happy.
O God, teach me to always love others and not stuff. I have gotten the taste of real life without things. Yes you may have nice things, but you truly dont know what it means to only have Jesus, put away the stuff forever, put away the luxury, put away the cars. Then tell me what do you have. ( NOTHING) !
